We built this app initially for our own brands and clients brands in order to overcome the loss of information about our advertising campaigns caused by iOS14 and GDPR. We found over the past year that it is more important than ever to be able to leverage 1st party data in order to make scaling decisions on your advertising, instead of relying on made up metrics on your advertising platform. With how many brands have been struggling with this change we decided to make our agencies internal attribution tool available to all marketers and brand owners.

Unlike advertising platforms that have now have a limited attribution window of 7-day click, GetaClue gives you the power to see all visits from a customer leading up to their purchase. This means if they first visited 90 days ago or 2 days ago, GetaClue is able to stitch that customer journey together.
GetaClue will start populating with your first sale after installing. It is recommended to install GetaClue's UTMs on all of your links so that you get a clear understanding of your customers journey.
GetaClue leverages server-side tracking as well as various types of identity resolution to better attribute your sales.
Additionally, because Google Analytics is trend based, it can only give you high level data and does not allow you to give into your individual customers journey.
Depending on the Shopify plan you subscribe to you might have access to Marketing and Attribution reports.
Similar to Google Analytics this does not give you any insights on the entire customer journey or on any individual customers journey.
Shopify Analytics are restricted to only showing First Click and Last Click trends, whereas GetaClue allows you to see First Click, Last Click and all the clicks in between for the entire store as well as every single customer.
